School and Team Directors' Information

Thank you for being a part of the Gatineau 2^nd Annual Salsafair-International Salsa Congress taking place March 30, 31 & April 1, 2012. Please read carefully all of the information below. We need your help and cooperation. Please follow the instructions below so that we can provide you with a fantastic Salsafair experience!!!

The Directors of each team are responsible for contacting Salsafair. All inquiries must be made by your Team Director and not the members of your team unless there is an emergency.

Performance Request / Registration

If you would like to perform at the Gatineau Salsafair, you must apply by January 10, 2012. Complete the registration form mentioned below. If your team is selected, you must then, include your payment by January 20, 2012. If we have not received your team's complete registration and payment by this date, we will assume that your team decided not to perform.

All teams selected must be available to perform on any of the following days.

Saturday, March 31, 2012
Sunday, April 1, 2012

To all Team Directors

Please respect the time limits for your performances. The peformance time limits are:

Groups: 5 minutes
Couples: 3 minutes

Please email us the form or mail it to the address at the bottom of this page.

Music (CD)

Please bring at least two 2 copies of your song with ONLY the music of your performance on each CD. Take note that the audio equipment does not read all CD brands. The CDs must be clearly labelled with the name of the performance group or couple. Some audio equipment do not read all the brands of CDs out in the market today. Bring these CD’s to your scheduled tech rehearsal. The tech rehearsal schedule will be sent to you ahead of time. Please be on time so we may provide you with a great Salsafair experience.

Tech Rehearsal

It is mandatory for you and your team to rehearse your performance on stage. All team members must be present. If you do not show up for your tech, you will not perform.

Dance Costumes

This is an all age event. Please keep in mind that your costume, music and performance must be appropriate. Please, no jeans. Thank you.

All teams must make their own hotel reservation by calling Hotel Clarion at the toll free number 1-877-568-5252 or 819-568-5252, and mention "Salsafair Gatineau" upon booking to get your Salsafair Special Discounted rate at: $94.99 + taxes, per night until February 1, 2012. After February 1, 2012, price goes up: $104.99.

Full Performer's Pass

Only dance team members that are performing at the Gatineau Salsafair are eligible for a performer's pass for only $75. This pass gives you access to all Salsafair activities: 3 days of breathtaking shows, outstanding workshops, unforgettable nights of social dancing, Salsa with Stars, featuring local celebrities and more. The deadline to pay for your performer's pass is January 10, 2012. Please note that, team members not performing are not entitled to this special discounted rate.
